Overview

The Dynamic Visibility extension is a highly versatile Elementor add-on designed to help users manage the visibility of various elements, including widgets, columns, containers, sections, or entire pages within their Elementor-built websites. Particularly useful for creating content that is not meant for general viewing, the plugin allows users to set complex visibility conditions such as OR/AND logic, custom fields, and page-specific restrictions. Users can also define visibility based on time periods, specific days of the week, user roles, IP addresses, referral sources, or even WooCommerce product specifics. Additionally, the plugin offers the capability to display fallback text like ‘Coming soon’ for hidden elements and provides the option to either hide elements via CSS or remove them from the DOM entirely. Requiring the installation of Elementor (Free or Pro) before activation, this extension simplifies the task of fine-tuning content visibility, making it a valuable tool for developers looking to control the user experience in detail. The paid version extends functionality with custom PHP conditions and over 140 additional features for Elementor.

Flexible Visibility Control

  • Hide widgets, columns, containers, sections, or pages.
  • Choose an OR/AND condition for visibility settings.
  • Limit visibility for specific custom fields or pages.

Time-Based Visibility

  • Set a date range (from–to) for element visibility.
  • Specify visibility based on the day of the week or hour.
  • Control when each element will be visible.

User-Specific Visibility

  • Limit visibility for specific user roles or user meta.
  • Control visibility based on IP, referral, or individual users.
  • Set visibility rules for WooCommerce products.

Fallback and Removal Options

  • Set a fallback text (e.g., 'Coming soon') for hidden elements.
  • Choose to hide the element via CSS or remove it from the DOM.
  • Ensure a seamless user experience with fallback content.

User sentiment analysis

Users appreciate this WordPress plugin for its extensive functionality and ability to build dynamic, Elementor-powered sites. They enjoy its wide range of options, flexibility in setting dynamic conditions, and its potential to restrict content visibility based on various conditions like date and time. Users also commend the plugin for saving time and enhancing customization, with some highlighting its seamless integration with other tools. However, the plugin has drawbacks. Users report it being intimidating for beginners due to numerous options, facing issues with compatibility (especially with WooCommerce and Rocket Cache), encountering bugs, and occasional poor support experiences. Some also criticize it for slowing down productivity due to frequent refreshes and complex user interface.

Excellent functionality, allowing developers much more freedom to build dynamic, elementor powered sites. Intimidating amount of options to begin with, but that means there is so much power there that can be used (or left unused if unnecessary for your use case). Thanks for this!

The Dynamic.ooo team has a very good understanding of our needs for dynamic sites. The dynamic visibility plugin works much better than most other offerings out there, including Elementor’s native dynamic conditions.

Please ignore the few angry 1-star reviews here. If you have a clean set up of you website, -meaning not loads of potentially conflicting plugins-than this is an amazing tool. Always test on a clean site before jumping to conclusions. Their support is top notch, I can say by my own experience. Highly recommended!!

Each time you activate or deactivate a trigger, Dynamic visibility refreshes the edited content. If you just need one trigger and have to deactivate the 12 others : 12 refreshes!! If you use dynamic tags and you have the very bad idea to select a get request, do not type the parameter name!! If you do, go get yourself a coffee, go to a movie, have a party with friends cause you won’t be able to do anything with elementor for quite some time. Apply visibility on a container with a dozen widgets inside and all content in the container disappear and it takes literally several minutes if not HOURS to render again the content. And the author says there is no compatibility issue with the last release of Elementor 3.19/3.20. Come on!! Don’t use this plugin if you worship productivity!!! I do not recommend.
