Overview

The plugin introduces a straightforward post-type drop-down menu to the post editor in WordPress, enabling users to easily reassign any post to a new post type directly while editing. It supports a wide range of conversion combinations, including Page to Post, Post to Page, and conversions involving custom post types. Although switching to or from Attachments has been discontinued as of version 3.0.0, it may return in future updates. The plugin intentionally excludes invisible post types like revisions and menus, but users can access these types via the 'pts_post_type_filter' filter if needed. Enhanced with bulk editing capabilities, users can convert multiple posts simultaneously. Furthermore, it fully supports both Block Editor (Gutenberg) and the Classic Editor, allowing seamless post-type switching without compromising any embedded content.

I spent 2 hours writing an article and getting YOAST SEO set up. After I published it, the article didn’t show up. Turns out I messed up and created a page instead. It was going to be a pain to copy over all the content plus YOAST SEO settings to a new post, but this plug-in saved me. I have no idea how it works but this also kept all my YOAST SEO settings intact (keyphrases, meta description, etc.). Maybe because the post kept the same ID even though it used to be a page. Either way, it worked without any problems. I still have all green lights for SEO. I’ll keep it installed in case I make a mistake again in the future.
