Overview

The HTTPS Redirection plugin for WordPress is designed to ensure that your website's URLs are consistently accessed via HTTPS, thereby enhancing security and SEO performance. After installing an SSL certificate and ensuring HTTPS is operational on your website, this plugin seamlessly redirects any non-HTTPS URL to its HTTPS counterpart, whether for the entire domain or selected pages. Additionally, for websites that migrated to HTTPS after creation, it dynamically forces static files (such as images, JavaScript, and CSS) to load via HTTPS, preventing SSL warnings and ensuring full compatibility. This automated approach ensures visitors always interact with the secure version of your site, bolstering both user trust and search engine indexing.

Automatic HTTPS Redirection

  • Automatically redirects non-HTTPS URLs to HTTPS versions.
  • Ensures visitors always view the secure version of your site.
  • Improves search engine indexing by enforcing HTTPS URLs.

Selective Redirection

  • Allows you to force HTTPS redirection for the entire domain.
  • Provides the option to selectively redirect specific pages to HTTPS.
  • Gives flexibility in managing which parts of your site are secured.

Force Load Static Files Using HTTPS

  • Dynamically forces static files to load using HTTPS URLs.
  • Helps avoid SSL warnings caused by non-HTTPS static files.
  • Ensures full compatibility of your webpages with SSL.

Improved Security and User Trust

  • Ensures all site content is served securely over HTTPS.
  • Enhances user trust by preventing SSL warnings.
  • Contributes to overall site security and integrity.

User sentiment analysis

Users appreciate the "Easy HTTPS Redirection (SSL)" plugin for its simplicity, ease of use, and effectiveness in redirecting sites from HTTP to HTTPS. Many reviews highlight its straightforward installation process and the absence of complicated settings or registrations. It functions well even with older versions of WordPress and offers a quick and reliable solution to enforce HTTPS across a site without manual .htaccess edits. However, some users report issues with multisite configurations, which require domain-specific tweaks in the .htaccess file. A few users experienced severe problems such as their sites becoming inaccessible or encountering too many redirects. Overall, while it's praised for its convenience, it's recommended for users with some technical knowledge to handle potential complications.

Even if you use it for your personal blog, with no ads or sevices sold, and choose to use the free version, Aksimet wants you to enter your full creddit card information. This is ridicilous. Why would I register my credit card info if I choose the “no payment” option? Edit: Sorry, I thought I commented to “Aksimet” plugin. Your plugin is perfectly fine. You require no payments, thanks for the good plugin.  “Easy HTTPS Redirection (SSL)” is a good plugin. This topic was modified 11 months, 3 weeks ago by uckunb. Reason: Wrong plugin comment, sorry
