All versions after 3.0 are pretty much unusable. I had to roll back to 2.1.3.

This plugin has a page view limit in the free version. After you hit the page view limit it says the cookie banner is disabled. This is pretty scammy on their part. If you want to offer a paid only service, just offer a paid only service. I deleted from my site.

I’m using the free version and it is good, easy to set up and it allows all the options needed to stablish a proper cookie banner to fullfill the legal requirements stablished by the EU (which is the most important thing any free user needs to know).
