I’ve been running my WordPress plugin business on EDD since 2014. It’s rock solid, extremely well supported, and has stood the test of time.We started with a simple payment gateway and over the years added software licensing, subscriptions, all access passes, marketing integration, invoicing, etc, etc. The upgrade path can sometimes be clunky but support are always there to help us find a way.IMHO EDD is built on engineering, not customer, foundations so some of the interfaces and workflows out of the box require some customisation to remove rough edges, but that’s achievable because the foundations are solid. I never lose sleep due to EDD.

I do not recommend this plugin if you want to use it with Stripe payment gateway. I recently came to know that in Easy digital downloads when used stripe payment gateway It gives them complete access of all your payment transactions happened through EDD. So they can access all your subscription transactions including customer details. Anybody can check their code to confirm.I would ask EDD guys to give option to your customers that if they do not want to connect their account under you in stripe.com then they must be able to do it. Also, your support response time is more than 48 hours even for premium customers. I had contacted them even through their given email as well but they did not reply for last more than 2 days.
