User sentiment analysis

Users appreciate the WordPress gallery plugin, Gmedia, for its extensive features, ease of use, and impressive gallery displays. They value its flexible module options, intuitive interface, and batch editing capabilities, which enhance the visual appeal and organization of their websites. Many commend the plugin's ability to manage large volumes of media and its compatibility with Yoast SEO. However, notable drawbacks include frequent bugs, broken social media links, and inconsistent functionality across modules. The lack of reliable customer support, delayed responses, and issues with recent updates further frustrate users. Despite these concerns, many acknowledge the plugin's potential and remain hopeful for improvements. Overall, the plugin's strengths in customization and user experience are marred by its technical and support shortcomings.

Actually, this gallery has some nice ideas. And some of the modules look quite nice too. However, these modules either seem to come from different developers or have been put together without any concept at all. For example, each module has different social media pages. Unfortunately, many of the links are not correct. If you click on Twitter, you just get an error message because the URL in the code is wrong. As for errors in general, the gallery is riddled with errors. And they are different in every module. Sometimes you can’t even download the images properly, even though they are offered, because an incorrect link is generated here too. And the support… Well, there is no support. The developer hasn’t contacted us in the forum for a long time. And he doesn’t respond to emails either (as many others have already written). I can only recommend: Hands off.

First of all: English is NOT my mother language!! So please excuse any errors in my review.I really don’t know why 2 big other gallery plugins are so famous and well known – I uninstalled both after trying them. Gmedia is the only gallery which is able to display albums, tags and categories in such an intuitively way. The “query” function is really great! And it offers so much possibillities almost in the free version with really awesome modules for displaying galeries. I can’t understand why so many people here say “it’s user unfriendly”. I’m a totally Word Press-Newbie and it took only a few time to understand how this plugin works. It is so comfortable to add files to albums and edit ALL of them by one click or by batch edit. It’s really awesome! Why do all people expect support for a FREE plugin?? If I had problems I would post them in a help forum. Because I wanted to support such a great work I bought the Premium version – and now I am able to use the album, tag and category funtions in the whole scope in many great modules without using a menu and building the accordingly sites manually. I love this plugin and hope it will find more user! This topic was modified 10 months ago by trimalo. This topic was modified 10 months ago by trimalo.

Хороший плагин Фотогалерея Гмедиа! Пользуюсь более 10 лет. Проблем не было. Нареканий то же не было.

I’ve installed and tried to use Gmedia on a prototype personal photography site. I’m an experienced (20 years) webdev and photographer (a lifetime!). Gmedia looked to be a good plugin with lots of capabilities, not least metadata support. However, there’s minimal documentation, just a few ‘use cases’, and support is non-existent. Zilch. Nada. Bubkes. The interface is less than intuitive, and uploading of photos often generates a “File is not an image” error when I know full sodding well that it is, having taken the photo myself and uploaded elsewhere. I’m giving up on Gmedia, sadly as I’ve uploaded a lot of photos to it and I’ll have to redo this, because it’s unsustainable and unreliable.

As far as the galleries go, they are nice looking and work well. Editing things, on the other hand, hasn’t worked for months. For example, on Gmedia Gallery page, I click “Build Query,” and the screen freezes for 30 seconds. No pop up, nothing. In Gmedia Library, clicking “screen options” does nothing. Clicking the gear does nothing. In Gmedia Albums, clicking “add from library” freezes the screen.
