The Happiness Engineers made me happy today.I had decided to migrate from a self-hosted blog (too expensive) to WordPress.com and I had problems with Jetpack (professional). I was receiving e-mails I couldn’t action because I couldn’t manually disconnect from Jetpack. The Happiness Engineers were able to disconnect me behind the scenes. I’m now happy. I’ve been a web designer for 30 years and have used Jetpack for 8 years now across all our sites. However, it seems to be less and less useful with each update and “feature” they add, and just more and more bloatware. Recently, it has caused extreme slowness and high resource runs on our server, causing sites to fail to load. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen a Jetpack update or release cause problems and take down our sites. I will be removing it from all our sites and those of our clients.
