Overview

The Wordpress plugin enhances compatibility between qTranslate and WooCommerce, eliminating the need to duplicate forms for each language on a multi-lingual site. To utilize this plugin, both qTranslate and WooCommerce must be installed. Once set up, it allows the use of qTranslate quicktags to automatically display category names, product descriptions, and other elements in the correct language chosen by the user. For example, entering “[:en]Test product[:de]Test-Produkt[:lb]Test-Produit” will dynamically switch between English, German, and Luxembourgish. The plugin requires specific settings like "URL Modification Mode" set to "Use Pre-Path Mode" in qTranslate, and properly filled WooCommerce permalink settings to avoid issues such as 404 errors and incorrect redirections. For bug reports or contributions, users are directed to the GitHub project page, as support requests are not handled in the support forum.

User sentiment analysis

Users appreciate the plugin for its ability to efficiently translate their websites, especially when combined with WooCommerce. It has notably enabled users to offer their products in multiple languages, enhancing their ecommerce capabilities. However, there are some drawbacks. The plugin shows compatibility issues, particularly with MaxShop and older WordPress versions, resulting in error messages and non-functional callbacks. Some users also experience problems with category filters and the WooCommerce category product widget. Despite these issues, the plugin is deemed functional and worth a try, especially given its cost-efficiency compared to other options. Users suggest thorough testing before going live and recommend developer intervention for unresolved issues.

I was having the same thing, but found out it was coming from qTranslate support for WooCommerce not compatible with WordPress 4.1 and MaxShop. I guess I will have to wait until new version comes out!!!! “Warning: calluserfuncarray() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘qtransuseCurrentLanguageIfNotFoundUseDefaultLanguage’ not found or invalid function name in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas05_data03/34/2427134/html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 213”

I have been struggling for three months to achieve a good result using qTranslate and one ecommerce cart. I tested several combination and when I decided to accept some little compromise in using qTranslate with woocommerce I found out this plugin. I tested it and it works fast but has some issues to be fixed, at least in my 2 installations it is not working completely clean. It has some weird issues with categories filter in shop page and in woocommerce category product widget. It worth a try before spending money in buying any other woocommerce extension that doesn’t give any warranty too, but test it deeply before put your site online On my humble opinion a developer’s fix is advisable to set this category issue but I give 5 stars the same. Thanks Michel for your work. Best Regards, [ Signature moderated. ]
