Overview

Slick Slider is a WordPress plugin designed to transform native WordPress galleries into elegant, fully responsive sliders. This plugin offers a wide array of customizable options, allowing users to tailor sliders to their specific needs effortlessly. Key features include enabling or disabling autoplay, adjusting the speed of animations, turning on or off the fade effect, and controlling the appearance of navigation arrows and dots. Additional functionalities such as center mode, infinite scrolling, pause on hover, and lazy loading are also available to enhance user experience and performance. Users can even configure sliders to display images in stacks, activate vertical sliders, and incorporate RTL support. It is important to note that Slick Slider requires at least PHP 5.6 and does not currently support slick’s responsive options feature. User sentiment analysis

Users appreciate the WordPress plugin for its ease of use, simplicity, and functionality. They find it particularly useful for quickly integrating the Slick JS carousel, converting standard WordPress galleries into attractive sliders, and saving time compared to manual integration. The plugin receives praise for its neat, bug-free performance and incredible support, especially from the author. However, some users encounter issues such as lack of compatibility with Jetpack and missing mobile responsive breakpoints. Additionally, the absence of clear instructions and occasional short code inconsistencies are noted drawbacks. Despite this, the flexibility and efficient integration within the WordPress workflow are highly valued.

I just tried this plugin and it still works! I LOVE the ‘stack images up in rows’ feature which I didn’t find in other plugins. Though sadly, this plugin might no longer actively maintain anymore 🙁
