Overview

The WP Sticky Menu (or Sticky Header) On Scroll plugin is designed to enhance website navigation and user experience by allowing any element on your pages to become "sticky" as soon as it reaches the top of the viewport during a scroll. Commonly used for creating fixed headers or floating menus, this versatile plugin supports various elements like widgets, logos, call-to-action boxes, and banner ads. Key features include the ability to apply stickiness to specific elements using unique selectors, optional spacing from the top, screen size-specific functionality, page-specific settings, and compatibility with other elements via a push-up mechanism. Additionally, the plugin is admin bar aware, supports custom Z-index settings, and includes Legacy and Dynamic modes to address responsiveness issues. For users who prefer a code-free setup, WP Sticky PRO offers a visual element picker. The plugin ensures GDPR compatibility by not tracking or processing user data.

Any element can stick

  • Allows any unique element to be sticky, not just menus or headers.
  • Can be used for sticky widgets, sidebars, call-to-action boxes, banner ads, etc.
  • Supports multiple sticky elements with WP Sticky PRO.

Positioning from top

  • Option to add space between the sticky element and the top of the page.
  • Prevents the element from being stuck directly at the top.

Enable for certain screen sizes only

  • Set minimum and/or maximum screen sizes for stickiness.
  • Useful for responsive sites to disable stickiness on smaller screens.

Enable only on some pages

  • Option to disable stickiness on specific posts, pages, categories, tags, and CPTs.
  • Provides flexibility in controlling where the sticky element appears.

User sentiment analysis

Users appreciate the WordPress plugin for its simplicity, efficiency, and functionality in making elements (like headers and sidebars) sticky, enhancing site navigation. It is straightforward to install, configure, and requires minimal effort to get results, which appeals especially to non-technical users. However, some users face issues such as responsiveness problems, limited free version capabilities, and insufficient documentation or support. These challenges can lead to frustration, particularly when trying to resolve specific issues without opting for the pro version. Despite these drawbacks, many users find it reliable and effective for their needs.

Inspected the code, looked through the answers here and youtube but nothing worked. Took me over 30 mins wasted time and so would only work for me if I pay for pro upgrade. Now I’m so frustrated that you’ve lost me as a potential pro customer. Should help customers more with this as surely can’t be hard to provide some instruction. Very dissatified.
