This was dead simple, and worked as advertised.
I have not had to restore from the backed up files yet, of course, so I can’t testify to that, but it does seem to have worked.
Remote FTP and other paid add-ons I have not tried. Free version, saves to your wp-content/uploads folder (in a few custom folders), works!

I installed it and it works except it never backs up files and database in one shot even if you select in the backup menu. If you select both it backs up files only. The only way to backup the database is to disable files backup.
