Overview

WP Install Profiles (WPIP) is a WordPress plugin designed to streamline the setup of new sites by automating the download and installation of groups of plugins. Users can create profiles by adding the slug from each plugin’s URL in the WordPress Plugin Directory, enabling bulk installations with ease. WPIP calls the directory, downloads, and unzips the specified plugins directly into the site’s plugins folder, saving significant time for developers and site administrators. Additionally, these profiles can be saved in a downloadable format for reuse across multiple sites, allowing for quick replication of plugin setups. Profiles can also be stored online for easier management and importation. WPIP requires SimpleXML and ZipArchive PHP libraries and may require specific file permissions adjustments for optimal functionality.

  • Add new plugins by simply entering the plugin slug from the WordPress plugin directory.

Profile Creation and Management

User sentiment analysis

Users appreciate the WordPress plugin for its time-saving capabilities, particularly when setting up multiple similar WordPress sites. The feature to create, save, and import lists of plugins into new sites is highly valued. Users find this functionality convenient and hassle-free when properly used. Additionally, the plugin offers a free repository for sharing profiles, adding significant value and usability. However, some users encounter issues with the plugin, such as import errors or empty lists, and view it as a waste of time. These negative experiences often stem from incorrect usage or technical issues, like extra spaces after plugin names during setup.

People who are complaining and giving negative reviews don’t know how to use it. it’s an awesome plugin. you can also create list of plugins and save it to profiles and import that list in other sites. if it’s not working for you, try removing extra spaces after plugin names.
