Logos plug into the WordPress Theme Site Identity system: change the logo in the editor and the WordPress logo updates automatically. Internally there’s now a dedicated logo attribute — the system knows this isn’t just another image. Header and footer logos can carry different styles and sizes, and re-uploading updates both locations at once.
